Procedure:
SMS:
From the CLI;
To shutdown and power off the system run the command shutdown. The --force option will reboot the system without prompting for confirmation.
Usage
shutdown (the SMS will request shutdown confirmation)
shutdown --force (the SMS will NOT request shutdown confirmation)
From the Client interface;
- Log in to the SMS via the client interface
- Go to the Admin tab
- Click the Shutdown button
- Click the Yes button when asked, "Are you sure you want to shutdown the SMS server?"

Note: If the device is under SMS control, you must unmanage it from SMS before issuing the shutdown command.

Shutdown CLI Commands
- halt (the device will request shutdown confirmation)
- halt now (the device will NOT request shutdown confirmation)
- halt <seconds>(enter the time for shutdown 1-3600 seconds)
From the SMS GUI
- All Devices > [device name] > Device Configuration
- Click on Edit
- On the Management Information tab, click on Shutdown
From the SMS GUI (Alternate)
- Right-click the desired device
- Select Edit > Device Configuration
- On the Management Information tab, click on Shutdown
Note: The Local Security Manager (LSM) does not provide a shutdown function via the web interface. Shutdown can only be performed via the CLI.
